Sousou no Frieren
After defeating the Demon King, the hero party breaks up and heads home. The four of them—Frieren the mage, Himmel the hero, Heiter the priest, and Eisen the warrior—spend their final moments together reminiscing about their ten-year adventure. But because Frieren's an elf, she'll live far longer than her human companions, and she watches helplessly as they gradually pass away. Before he dies, Heiter leaves his young apprentice Fern in Frieren's care. The elf decides to take Fern on a journey across the land, visiting all the places she and her old party once traveled to. Frieren's ostensibly collecting new magic spells, but really, she's trying to come to terms with all the moments she missed—chances to get closer to the friends she's lost.
