Shougo was among the Otherworlders conscripted to serve the Falmuth nation. Best known for his arrogance, he genuinely believed he ranked among the strongest around—confident enough to consider himself on par with Hinata Sakaguchi. Outside of Kirara and Kyouya, he showed little regard for anyone else. Resentful of his forced servitude to a country he had no real investment in, Shougo's attitude and circumstances left him fundamentally at odds with his situation.
