Rin Itoshi is the deuteragonist of Blue Lock.
He's best known as the series' most talented striker—at least until his rivals catch up. Rin started kicking a ball with his older brother Sae when they were kids, and he's been a top forward on every team he's touched since. By the time Third Selection rolls around, Ego officially confirms what everyone already knew: Rin's the #1 player in Blue Lock.
His whole thing was getting revenge on Sae, who abandoned their shared dream years ago. Rin was obsessed with beating his brother, with proving something. But after the match against Japan U-20, that shifted. He dropped the revenge fixation and refocused on what actually mattered—becoming the world's best striker, period. Now he's chasing that goal and doesn't care who's in the way.
