Chewbacca
Chewbacca is best known as Han Solo's loyal co-pilot and best friend aboard the Millennium Falcon. A Wookiee mechanic and fighter, he's proven himself indispensable in combat and shipboard repairs alike—though his roaring outbursts are almost as legendary as his abilities.
Born on Kashyyyk as the son of chieftain Attichitcuk, Chewbacca fought for his homeworld during the Clone Wars, resisting the Separatist forces. When Order 66 went down, he played a crucial role in helping Jedi Master Yoda escape the planet. That act of loyalty came with a price: the Empire retaliated hard against Kashyyyk for the Wookiees' Jedi connections, and Chewbacca was forced to flee his home.
He ended up enslaved by Trandoshan slavers until Han Solo—then an Imperial lieutenant—rescued him. The debt of life-debt and genuine friendship that followed kept them together ever since. Chewbacca's found his place with Han, trading his past for a life of smuggling, rebellion, and adventure across the galaxy.
