A sixteen-year-old high school student with supernatural powers who serves as her city's mayor—a role she inherited as a child after her grandmother's death. She's best known for her dedication to the job and her desire to live up to her grandmother's legacy, training daily and patrolling town using the methods she was taught.
Hime treasures a long scarf made by her close friend Akina, which conceals a scar on her neck. The scar is a seal placed there by Yae Shinatsuhiko to suppress most of her youkai abilities. In the manga, she once asked Yae to seal everyone's memories of her being a youkai so she could experience life from both human and youkai perspectives equally. That all changed in chapter thirteen when a rival group threatening her cousin Kohime's mayoral campaign forced Yae to undo the barrier protecting those memories to prevent harm to local youkai.
She's a self-described glutton with a particular weakness for noodles—especially Akina's cooking—though fans often note she's surprisingly sensitive about her weight. Despite occasionally coming across as harsh, she has a genuinely kind heart beneath the surface.
Her fighting style differs between versions: she wields a lacrosse racket in the manga, while the anime gives her a retractable spear. She shares deep friendships with both Akina and Gin, who seem to be her closest confidants in the series.
