Synopsis

Centuries back, the barrier between the human and youkai worlds got thin enough for people to slip between them. That event ended up reshaping everything, and now Sakurashin has become the go-to city for handling all the cross-dimensional chaos. The Seven Pillars surrounding the city draw youkai like a beacon, and the Hiizumi Life Counseling Office keeps things from falling apart on the human side. The office itself is basically Sakurashin's defense force. You've got Hime Yarizakura running things as the young mayor, Ao Nanami—a satori who reads minds—and Kotoha Isone, a half-youkai who can summon literally anything just by speaking it. Then there's the Kishi siblings, Kyousuke and Touka, a couple of oni, and director Akina Hiizumi, whose family's been in the youkai-banishing business for generations. Their day job mostly involves community counseling and keeping the peace, but they also have to deal with Strikes—this nasty phenomenon where humans suddenly get infused with youkai powers and lose control. Things start getting serious when a mysterious guy shows up in town. Suddenly Strikes are happening left and right, rival factions start scheming, and all kinds of trouble finds its way to Sakurashin. The Life Counseling Office ends up as the city's only real defense against total chaos.
