Kotoha
Kotoha is a sixteen-year-old high school student and a hanyou—half human, half youkai—after being possessed by a youkai as a young child. She's a Language-user who summons objects and weapons by speaking them aloud, though more complex items require full incantations. Simple conjuring is basically second nature to her at this point.
She's obsessed with military hardware, which is pretty much her defining trait. Fans often note her gun enthusiasm shows up immediately in the manga's first chapter. She once took a vacation specifically to visit the Koblenz Museum of Military Technology in Germany, just to see the tanks and weapons on display. Her friends think she's a great singer, though that gets less focus in the story.
The glasses she wears are purely decorative—she's been clear about that. She's also only interested in girls romantically, which becomes apparent around chapter ten when she's notably the only one not dating any of the male characters.
Her main weakness is impulse control when angry. She tends to escalate fights way too fast. A prime example: when Hime made her a training partner and accidentally destroyed her plane ticket to Germany, Kotoha got so furious she summoned a German FLAK 36 88mm cannon and started firing. Her friends had to stop her before real damage was done, and afterward she felt terrible about losing her temper.
Overusing her language powers comes with a cost—she can temporarily lose her voice if she pushes it too hard.
