Etzali is an Aztec magician from the organization Return of the Winged One, where he held a senior position over members like Xochitl. He was sent to Academy City about a month before August 31st to assess whether the growing Kamijou Faction posed a threat to the balance between the magical and scientific worlds.
His assignment escalated when his organization decided Kamijou Touma's radical actions were too dangerous to ignore. A week before August 31st, Etzali abducted Unabara Mitsuki and assumed his form, using it as cover to get close to Mikoto—his real target. The plan was to steal her appearance too and sow discord between Kamijou and his allies. Despite following orders, Etzali admitted he'd developed genuine feelings for Mikoto during the operation.
Kamijou eventually defeated him in direct confrontation, but instead of simply being cast aside, Etzali ended up joining GROUP afterward.
Appearance: Etzali typically presents as Unabara Mitsuki, but his true form shows a young man with dark skin and black wavy hair.
