Kabane Kusaka is a half-ghoul, half-human hybrid who carries a life calculus—an incredibly rare white stone passed down by his unknown parents that suppresses a Kemono's primal urges. Driven by the need to find out who they are, he joined the Kemono Office agency as an investigator.
Physically, Kabane stands on the shorter side with a pale complexion and black hair. When he transforms into his kemono form, his eyes turn red, a horn protrudes from his head, and parts of his body shift to a darker hue. His arms swell and redden, becoming visibly veined.
Due to growing up without proper care, Kabane comes across as emotionally detached and blunt to the point of seeming oblivious. He often misses social cues and can appear genuinely clueless about things most people would understand instinctively.
