The captain of the Sidonia and commanding officer of the Guardians, she's best known for leading humanity's defense against the Gauna. Most people just call her "The 28th Generation Captain"—her actual name rarely comes up in conversation. She's young for the position, which itself is pretty unusual, and she typically keeps her face hidden behind a mask. Only a handful of people on the ship, Nagate included, have actually seen what she looks like beneath it.
