Dr. Gilmore
A British engineer best known for creating a weapons-disabling machine called the "Mad Machine." The tragic loss of his wife—either killed in a V-1 bombing or shot, depending on the version—drove him to develop the technology in the first place.
Before he could complete his work, Gilmore was kidnapped, either by Neo-Nazis or the organization Black Ghost itself, and dragged off to Antarctica so they could weaponize his invention. The 00 cyborgs had to mount a rescue operation to get him back.
The character has gone through some weird rebranding over the years. In the 1968 anime adaptation, he inexplicably became "Dr. Kozumi," while the 2001 version renamed him "Dr. Findol"—basically just rearranging his original surname.
