Konzen Douji is the previous incarnation of Genjo Sanzo.
Nephew of Kanzeon Bosatsu, Konzen held a high divine status but spent most of his time doing paperwork—work that bored him to tears. He's basically a spoiled god who's never had to actually struggle at anything. Despite coming across as imperious and quick-tempered, he lacks both real strength and the patience to develop it. His "purity" is really just ignorance of the real world.
Meeting Goku changed him, as did the influence of Tenpou and Kenren. Through these relationships, he found the drive to overcome his old self and protect what mattered to him, ultimately gaining the determination to face down genuine power.
He's got long, fine golden hair and drooping eyes with long lashes—features that oddly foreshadow Genjo Sanzo's appearance.
