Hiro's mom is basically the opposite of most Soma parents—she's genuinely supportive and loving toward him instead of cold or distant. She's got this bubbly, somewhat scatterbrained personality that endears her to fans, though it does mean Hiro ends up worrying about whether she can actually take care of herself. Still, her warmth toward her son stands out as pretty refreshing compared to the dysfunction going on with the other cursed kids' families.
