He's a large, powerfully built guy—much like his wife in that respect. You'll typically see him in a yellow shirt and black shoes.
Interestingly, he looked completely different in the 1973 anime adaptation. Back then he was short, wore glasses and an apron over a white shirt and brown pants, and came across as pretty weak. His face was almost a dead ringer for his son Takeshi's, which makes sense given the family resemblance.
