Synopsis

Nobita Nobi is a complete mess—so hopeless that his descendants twenty-two centuries down the line are still broke because of his screw-ups in the 20th century. His future family sends back a robotic cat named Doraemon to fix things and steer him toward a better life. The catch? Doraemon is basically a broken-down robot that they inherited by accident and just. kept around. He's not exactly the most reliable guide. Still, the two end up going on all kinds of wild adventures together. Nobita's life is definitely more exciting with a time-traveling robot cat around, but whether it's actually better—or whether any of this is actually helping him avoid poverty—is pretty debatable.
