Gaurry was one of Aria's bodyguards, though he ultimately couldn't protect her from Night Raid's assassination attempt on the family.
A fit, young man of average height with black hair, gray eyes, and a short beard, Gaurry cut a professional figure in his white guardsman uniform—complete with black boots and gloves that ran up to his knees and elbows, plus a helmet with white cloth draping from the sides. He favored a large cleaver-like blade as his weapon.
He first showed up when Aria introduced Tatsumi to the family, and later escorted them to the mansion where Aria's father asked him to keep an eye on the newcomer. The next day, while accompanying Aria and Tatsumi on a shopping trip, Gaurry pulled Tatsumi aside to warn him about the corruption festering in the Capital and how dangerous it was to get tangled up in it.
When Night Raid attacked the manor that evening, Gaurry stood his ground alongside two other guards, knowing full well they were outmatched. He charged directly at the assassins anyway, but Akame was faster—she slit his throat before he could make much of a difference. In what might've been a moment of clarity, Gaurry's last thought was that his death was fitting for someone whose nature had always been rotten. Leone later pointed out that guards like him shared the blame for the family's crimes, having willfully looked the other way.
