Saki comes across as a delinquent type at first glance, but she's genuinely interested in building real friendships. What really drives her, though, is her devotion to her brother—she's been working night shifts under a false name and age just to cover school fees and ease the financial burden on her family. When her brother reaches out to the service club for help, things change. The club tracks her down at work and discovers what she's been sacrificing herself for. After they suggest she pursue a scholarship instead, she finally stops the exhausting night-shift grind. It's a turning point that shows there's more to her than the rough exterior.
