They decided Sirius was worthless and tried to kill him—only for Leonhart to jump in front of the attack to shield him. It was a genuinely selfless moment; Leonhart got wounded instead, and he actually said something about a true ruler protecting his people. After that, Leonhart knocked both assassins out with magic.
