The Cutthroat
The Cutthroat enters the story already facing execution, though the reasons for his arrest remain unclear. He's pulled from death row when the Akudama interrupt the proceedings. After breaking free from his straitjacket, he receives a case of bomb-collars from Courier—something he'd apparently been waiting for.
Personality
He's a sadistic killer who gets visibly excited at the sight of blood. But there's a jarring contradiction in how he carries himself otherwise. Outside of killing, he acts like a child—innocent, playful, often singing nursery rhymes or wandering around without a care. He struggles to keep his violent urges in check, especially when he sees anything red.
The one exception to his childlike demeanor is Swindler. The moment Swindler faces danger, Cutthroat becomes deadly serious and will do absolutely anything to protect him. It's the kind of obsessive loyalty that defines him more than his sadism does.
Appearance
Pale, tall, with shoulder-length white hair and purple eyes. His whole look is deliberately stark—a long white dress shirt under a white knee-length overcoat, white trousers, and black tights visible above his boots. There's a mole below his left eye, and his left hand is always wrapped in bandages.
Abilities
He's a knife specialist, genuinely skilled with blades. In combat, he drops the childish act entirely and becomes frighteningly sharp—his reflexes and senses are top-tier. He can throw daggers with perfect accuracy, and his sleight of hand is impressive enough to hide multiple blades throughout his coat and sleeves, pulling them out mid-fight without hesitation.
Beyond knives, he's got genuine physical power. He can pierce through bodies with his bare hands and kicks hard enough to shatter skulls. He either has an extremely high pain tolerance or simply doesn't register pain when blood and Swindler are in the picture—fans still aren't entirely sure which.
