Feng Xin is a Martial God who guards the Southeast as General Nan Yang, commanding nearly eight thousand temples across his domain. Eight centuries ago, he served as Imperial Bodyguard to Xie Lian—a role that fundamentally shaped who he'd become.
On the surface, Feng Xin comes across as straightforward and responsible. He's the type who won't gossip or talk trash behind your back, and he takes his duties seriously. But there's a catch: he's impatient, quick to anger, and will curse loudly and constantly, even around other Heavenly Officials. It's not malicious—just his default mode.
What really defines him, though, is his loyalty. During Xie Lian's first banishment, when they didn't have enough money for food or medicine, Feng Xin refused to steal despite their desperation. He also wouldn't leave Xie Lian's side, no matter how dire things got. That kind of devotion runs deep in him. He cares fiercely for anyone close to him and will even protect people he's had actual conflicts with.
There's one weird crack in his armor: he becomes visibly nervous and disoriented around women. It's a strange fear that catches people off guard given his otherwise no-nonsense personality.
