Synopsis

Thunder crashes and Xie Lian shows up with that apologetic smile of his—for the third time. Eight hundred years ago, he was the Crown Prince of Xianle, a celebrated martial god with devoted followers. Now he's ascending to heaven again, but as a pathetic scrap collector with basically no one worshipping him. His first assignment sends him wandering alone through a moonlit forest, where a kind stranger in red robes appears and helps guide him through. Just as suddenly, the guy vanishes into a cloud of silver butterflies. Turns out this mystery man is Hua Cheng, the Crimson Rain Sought Flower—a Ghost King so powerful that demons and gods alike fear him. Before Xie Lian can wrap his head around why someone like that would bother helping a Heavenly Official, he meets San Lang, a young man who somehow knows everything about both the Ghost King and the long-forgotten Crown Prince. San Lang decides to stick with Xie Lian, and together they start digging into the mysteries surrounding his past.
