Sayu's mom is a minor character in Hige wo Soru. Soshite Joshikousei wo Hirou. She's basically portrayed as cold and dismissive—more interested in her brother's success with the family business than anything else, including her own daughter. The turning point comes when she asks Sayu point-blank if she actually killed Yuuko Masaka, which completely breaks their relationship. That accusation is what pushes Sayu to leave home, and it leaves her emotionally wrecked afterward.
