Celty Sturluson
Also known as "The Black Rider" or "The Headless Rider," Celty is a Dullahan from Ireland who came to Japan hunting down her stolen head. Her motorcycle isn't actually a motorcycle—it's a horse in disguise. She has no heart and doesn't see through conventional means; instead, she perceives her surroundings through sensors located somewhere other than her missing head. Her physical strength far exceeds normal human limits, though she doesn't quite match Shizuo Heiwajima's raw power. She can also manifest shadow-like, durable substance into whatever she needs—gloves, weapons, entire chariots—pretty much at will.
Celty works as an underground porter and lives with Shinra Kishitani, who she communicates with via PDA since she can't speak. She's oddly tech-savvy for someone from centuries past, enjoying online chatting and binge-watching television and DVDs in her downtime. She's one of the few people aware of who actually created the Dollars, which puts her in rare company. There's clearly something between her and Shinra, though she remains genuinely uncertain whether what she feels counts as love. What she's certain about: she gets genuinely pissed whenever Shinra suggests she doesn't need her head back. She also has an unexpected phobia of certain movie scenarios—alien chases and run-ins with traffic cops freak her out.
