Shimon started out as a boxer and actually won the national tournament, but that all changed when his brother Mamoru Izuna got sick. Mamoru was really into Gunpla, so Shimon decided to pick up Gundam model battling himself. He ended up leading Team FAITH, representing Joto Municipal Middle School, and piloting the Destiny Gundam—a build his brother made while he was in the hospital.
