At 28 years old, Yokozawa studied at the same college as Takano and was there for him during a rough patch in his life. They slept together twice but never actually dated. When Takano was struggling to take care of himself, Yokozawa took his cat away—harsh as it sounds, he saw it as necessary. The cat eventually bonded with Yokozawa and stayed with him.
Yokozawa's had feelings for Takano since their college days. After their first night together, he deleted Takano's entire phone contacts and left only his own number, which is pretty telling about his possessiveness. He genuinely cares about Masamune and really can't stand Onodera, especially for hurting him and trying to worm back into his life.
He works in sales at Marukawa Shoten and has earned himself the nickname "wild bear" thanks to his notoriously short temper. But he's damn good at his job and respected at the company—Hatori's even suggested that Yokozawa's basically the reason Takano got transferred to Marukawa in the first place.
Despite the rough exterior and attitude, he takes his work seriously and genuinely cares about the company. He's also got a real soft spot for cats, and they seem to feel the same way about him. It's one of those things that makes Onodera wonder if there's actually a decent person hiding under all that hostility.
