Synopsis

Ritsu Onodera's tired of being seen as just his father's kid, so he leaves his father's publishing company to prove himself elsewhere. He lands at Marukawa Publishing, expecting to work in their literary division—but instead gets stuck as a rookie manga editor in the grueling Emerald department, where everyone's constantly racing against deadlines. His new boss is Masamune Takano, the intense editor-in-chief who demands results no matter what. Except Takano isn't actually new to Ritsu's life. He's Ritsu's first love from high school, and the breakup left Ritsu pretty guarded about relationships ever since. With the two suddenly working together again after years apart, Takano decides he's going to make Ritsu fall for him all over again. The series follows three interconnected couples working in the manga industry, each experiencing the ups and downs of first love.
