Ichirou Kodama teaches English at Maijima High and oversees the Arts Clubs. He's got a lot in common with Nikaido personality-wise—both are the type to block students from pursuing what they actually want to do. When Chihiro's band wanted to start a Light Music Club, Kodama shut them down unless everyone scored a perfect 100 on an upcoming test.
What really gets under his skin, though, is Keima. Kodama clearly resents the guy because there's literally nothing he can do about Keima gaming during class. Keima just keeps acing every single test Kodama throws at him, which leaves the teacher completely powerless to call him out.
