Synopsis

Keima Katsuragi is a high school student known online as the "God of Conquest"—legendary for his ability to win over any girl in a dating sim. He can't stand real life though. Three-dimensional girls strike him as annoying and nothing like the idealized versions in games. One day during cleaning duty, he gets a mysterious message challenging him to conquer a girl. He accepts it as a joke, which immediately summons Elsie, a demon girl from hell. Her job is hunting down runaway spirits that hide inside girls' hearts, and somehow Keima's just agreed to help her do it. When he tries to back out, she drops the bomb: fail the contract and he's dead. Now stuck with this impossible task, Keima does the only thing he knows how to do—he applies his dating sim knowledge to real life, trying to win the hearts of actual girls so they'll expel the spirits trapped inside them.
