Satou works as a chef and comes across as helpful but kind of terrifying depending on who you ask. He's got a thing for Yachiyo—a serious thing—but he's basically awful at showing it. His hints go completely over her head anyway since she's too focused on being devoted to Kyouko to notice anything else. When he gets frustrated, he tends to take it out on Popura by messing with her or straight-up lying to her, which she falls for every time. If Souma ever tries to give him advice about his Yachiyo problem, Satou will absolutely beat him with a pan. He's that touchy about it.
There's a bass guitar visible in his apartment during one scene, suggesting it might be something he does in his downtime.
