Ono Daisuke started his voice acting career in 2001 through Aoni Production's training program, represented by Mausu Promotion until going freelance in February 2016.
He's probably best known to fans as the voice of Sebastian Michaelis in Kuroshitsuji—which is hilarious because he's actually admitted to disliking cats due to childhood trauma, only to voice a character obsessed with them. That said, he's apparently fine with Nyanko-sensei, the cat belonging to fellow seiyuu Kamiya Hiroshi, and recently confessed he's gotten into watching cat videos and wouldn't mind owning one himself.
Since 2007, Ono has co-hosted the long-running radio show Dear Girl ~Stories~ with Kamiya Hiroshi. He's been involved in various other radio and hosting gigs over the years, including programs with Kondou Takayuki and Gotou Saori.
On the music side, Ono fronts the comedy air band "MASOCHISTIC ONO BAND" (where he goes by ONO-D), which debuted at Nippon Budoukan in 2013 with Kamiya as HIRO-C. He was part of the singing unit D.A.T with Kondou Takayuki from 2011 to 2020, revived it as TRD starting in 2021, and ran the radio show Dope Rad Talking from 2021 to 2023. He also leads DABA, a 2008 project featuring six male seiyuu born in 1978, and its singing subunit CABA (active since 2014). He's been hosting the annual OrePara live since 2008 alongside Suzumura Kenichi, Morikubo Showtaro, and Terashima Takuma.
Food-wise, he dislikes raisins but loves Chinese noodles, nuts, and almonds. He's also got a thing for Buddha statues—he visited one of the world's tallest in Ushiku-shi for his birthday, which happens to be Kamiya's hometown too.
