Synopsis

Nichijou follows three high school best friends—Mio, Yuuko, and Mai—whose ordinary lives get turned upside down when they meet Hakase, a child genius, along with her robot caretaker Nano and their talking cat Sakamoto. From there, it's basically chaos. The show bounces between genuinely mundane stuff like walking to school and hanging out with friends, then suddenly cuts to something completely ridiculous like getting attacked by a talking crow or watching the principal body-slam a deer. It's that constant whiplash between normal and absurd that defines the series—for these characters, the extraordinary is just another Tuesday.
