Tsukishima founded Xcution as a gathering place for Fullbringers who shared his obsession with erasing their own powers. He'd supposedly figured out a method to do it too—transferring Fullbringer abilities into a Shinigami representative. But somewhere along the way, something changed. He turned on his own organization, murdered the Shinigami who'd absorbed everyone's powers, and killed every Fullbringer who'd given theirs up.
During the Lost Agent arc, he becomes a major obstacle for Ichigo Kurosaki's involvement with Xcution. Rather than confront Ichigo directly, Tsukishima targets his friends, trying to cut him off from the organization and its new leader, Ginjou Kuugo. The reasons behind his sudden betrayal remain murky, but the damage he caused speaks for itself.
