Synopsis

In the Orte Empire, Count Saint-Germi finally closes the deal with Gu-Binnen's merchants, ending a war that's dragged on for decades and getting Orte the resources they desperately need. On another front, Naoshi Kanno strengthens his beastman army by recruiting the cat tribe. Then he gets a surprise visit from Rear Admiral Tamon Yamaguchi—another member of the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces—which sets Kanno and Scipio Africanus on a mission to meet someone Kanno thought was dead. Meanwhile, as enemies gear up for war, the Black King moves his forces into action and puts a familiar face in charge—someone with a serious grudge against a certain Drifter.
