Synopsis

Chiyo Sakura is an upbeat high school girl hopelessly in love with Umetarou Nozaki, who seems totally oblivious to her crush. When she finally works up the courage to confess, he just hands her an autograph—which is weird. Turns out the quiet, serious Nozaki is actually a popular shoujo manga artist working under the pen name Sakiko Yumeno. Through a series of mix-ups, Chiyo ends up becoming his manga assistant. As she helps out with his work, she gets pulled into a friend group of colorful schoolmates, including the shameless fellow assistant Mikoto Mikoshiba and Yuu Kashima, the charming "Prince of the School." The series follows Chiyo juggling her new job while still hoping Nozaki will eventually pick up on her feelings for him—all while dealing with the chaos that comes with working in manga production.
