Synopsis

Achiga Girls' Academy used to have a solid mahjong team—they even beat the powerhouse Bansei High School. They made it to the national semifinals but fell short of the championship, and after that, the club just faded away. Years later, in elementary school, Shizuno Takakamo meets Nodoka Haramura, a transfer student, and the two become friends. They both end up at Achiga Girls', but Nodoka leaves after their second year. The next year, Shizuno catches Nodoka on TV as the national middle school mahjong champion and decides right then to bring the mahjong club back to life at Achiga.
