Jet started out as 001 before Ivan took over the role. A street kid from New York City, he led the Jets gang on the West Side until a brutal fight with the rival Sharks gang changed everything—he killed one of their members and would've been arrested if Black Ghost hadn't snatched him away to turn him into a cyborg.
True to his name, Jet's got jet boosters built into his feet that let him hit speeds up to Mach 5. He was also one of the early models equipped with an acceleration module, a design that got refined later in 009. His brash, hot-headed personality tends to rub people the wrong way and can make him downright hostile toward his teammates, especially in the 2001 series, but he's actually loyal and genuinely good-hearted underneath all that aggression.
Like most of the cyborg soldiers, Jet got frozen while Black Ghost waited for better tech and procedures to be developed. Chronologically he's somewhere in his 40s or 50s now, since he was only 18 when they captured him. He's pretty distinctive-looking—hard to miss that huge nose of his.
