Synopsis

Souta Takanashi has a weakness for cute, small things—so when the childlike Popura Taneshima recruits him to work at Wagnaria, a family restaurant in Hokkaido, he can't say no. He loves fussing over Popura, who's actually older than him, which only makes her more self-conscious about looking so young. Things get interesting fast once he meets the rest of the crew: Yachiyo Todoroki, the floor chief who carries a katana; Jun Satou, the intimidating head chef; Hiroomi Souma, a sous chef who's unnervingly knowledgeable and has a sadistic streak; Kyouko Shirafuji, a manager who'd rather do anything but work; and Mahiru Inami, a waitress with a crippling fear of men that she tends to express violently. Working!! is a workplace comedy driven entirely by its cast of weirdos. With Takanashi and his coworkers constantly clashing and playing off each other's quirks, the restaurant becomes a nonstop circus of chaos and comedy.
