Ryou Shimazaki
Ryou Shimazaki is a powerful esper who used to run with Claw, the terrorist organization that's since fallen apart. He was one of the Ultimate 5—basically the cream of the crop when it comes to raw esper ability.
The most striking thing about him is his appearance. Those slit-like marks across his face where his eyes should be? They're scars from his past. What most people don't realize is that Ryou actually has no eyes at all. Instead, he navigates using his sense of smell, kind of like how a bat uses echolocation. It's part of what makes him such a formidable fighter despite the obvious disadvantage—his other senses are tuned to an almost supernatural degree.
