Shin's known as Itsuomi's best friend—they go way back to high school, where Emma was also around. These days he works as a hairdresser and likes to use Itsuomi as basically a personal test subject for new styles.
On the surface, Shin comes off as kind of standoffish and fragile, which probably doesn't help him seem approachable. But give him a drink and he completely transforms—suddenly he's the life of the party, cheerful and talkative. With people he actually cares about, he's genuinely warm and thoughtful underneath that distant exterior.
