Tenshi is one of the two main female characters in the anime. Her actual name means "Angel," though she's quick to deny being one—she prefers to introduce herself as the Student Council President, a role tied to her responsibility overseeing the school's afterlife processes.
The SSS calls her "Tenshi" based on Yuri's conviction that she must be some kind of divine representative. The central conflict of the series stems from their rivalry: Yuri believes Tenshi is an enemy of the Afterlife itself.
She's got a solid arsenal of defensive techniques that she refers to as her "Guard Skills," which come in handy during her frequent clashes with the SSS.
