Uni is the granddaughter of Luce and daughter of Aria, inheriting the Orange Arcobaleno Pacifier—a treasure passed down through her family for generations. She was a kindhearted girl who had no idea her mother was a mafia boss until Aria's early death left her as the unexpected leader of the Giglio Nero Famiglia. During this time, she came to know Reborn as her grandfather.
The Giglio Nero Family was struggling, losing power and influence. Desperate to keep it afloat, Uni arranged a meeting with Byakuran. Whatever happened in that office changed everything. She emerged a different person—cold, bitter, and emotionally distant. According to Shoichi, Byakuran had dulled her heart with a powerful drug. Uni then announced the Giglio Nero and Millefiore families would merge, making her the head of the Black Spell and captain of the 1st Calendula Squad in the newly formed organization.
Later, during the Choice battles, Uni tried to hold Byakuran to a promise Shoichi had gotten him to make. When he brushed her off, she realized she was done. She left the Millefiore and asked Tsuna to protect her instead.
