Takasu Ren
A high school student who stumbled upon a book called "Living With Dying" while in the hospital—turns out it belonged to his classmate Sakura Yamauchi. The discovery pretty much kicks off everything that follows in his story, though he had no idea at the time how much that random find would matter.
