Shaoyu comes from Chu's royal tribe—something he's genuinely proud of and won't shut up about. He's constantly bringing up how powerful his people are, which is endearing more than annoying since he says it with such enthusiasm.
As a fighter, he's legitimately skilled and absurdly strong. But what makes him stand out is his personality. He's the warm, playful type who gets a kick out of life, especially when Tianming's around. He'll tease Tianming relentlessly and keep bugging him to call him Big Brother, which Tianming rarely does—much to Shaoyu's amusement.
He picks up knowledge easily and has a broad understanding of things, which means he usually ends up being the group's voice of reason. When something needs analyzing or thinking through, Shaoyu's the one who figures it out logically.
His dynamic with Tianming looks like friendly rivalry on the surface—they're always competing or bickering—but anyone close to them can see they're basically siblings. That sibling energy, complete with the teasing and the unspoken loyalty, is what really defines their relationship.
