Chloe is a villager from Pasroe who got her merchant training from Lawrence way back. She's got complicated feelings about the guy, but there's no denying she respects what he taught her.
She's anime-only, which means she never made it into the manga or light novels. When the 2008 anime adaptation rolled out, she was basically created to fill the role of Yarei, an older male character from the source material who knew Lawrence. Interestingly, when the 2024 anime series came around, they brought Yarei back instead—so Chloe didn't appear in that version.
