Jamie Lynn Marchi
Born October 8, 1977 in Knoxville, Tennessee, Jamie Lynn Marchi (pronounced "Marky") grew up surrounded by Bob Dylan, theater, and apparently a lot of Mentos. She's been acting professionally for years and has built a seriously impressive resume in anime voice acting.
You probably know her best as Rias Gregmory from High School DxD, but she's voiced dozens of memorable characters across everything from Witchblade (Masane) and Soul Eater (Liz Thompson) to My Hero Academia (Mt. Lady), Fairy Tail (Cana), One Piece (Miss Valentine), and YuYu Hakusho (Juri). Her range spans comedy—like Panty from Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt—to more dramatic roles, and she's popped up in everything from Ouran to SHIMONETA to Fruits Basket to that unforgettable role as Miss Polly in Shin Chan. Fans often note her ability to bring personality to whatever she touches.
Beyond voice acting, Marchi has serious behind-the-scenes chops. She's written script adaptations and directed ADR for shows like Spice and Wolf, Sergeant Frog, and Negima?!. She's also known as co-host of The Funimation Show and is close friends with fellow voice actor Monica Rial, who runs the podcast We Will Be in Touch.
When she's not working, Marchi's into theater, 80s music, dancing, football, professional wrestling, cheese, gummies, and making jokes about people taking walks on the beach. She's a Theater major from the University of Oklahoma (with minors in fashion and espionage, which tracks) and currently lives in Dallas.
Her accolades speak for themselves—multiple BTVA Voice Acting Awards across lead and supporting roles, plus multiple "Voice Actress of the Year" wins.
