Synopsis

Soul Eater NOT! is a prequel spin-off set a year before the original Soul Eater. It follows students at the Death Weapon Meister Academy—a place where certain humans can transform into weapons, while others called Meisters learn to wield them. The school's star students belong to the Especially Advantaged Talent class, training to become elite fighters against supernatural threats and world-ending dangers. But NOT! focuses on a different crowd. The Normally Overcome Target class consists of less gifted students who are basically just trying to control their abilities without accidentally hurting themselves or others. When Tsugumi Harudori, a new student who transforms into a halberd, enrolls, she meets two Meisters—Meme Tatane and Anya Hepburn. The three click instantly, but Tsugumi faces a real problem: she can't decide which one should actually be her partner. As the trio navigates their partnership drama and trains together, they discover that even for average students at a weapon academy, everyday life is anything but ordinary.
