Atsushi Ookubo is a Japanese manga artist best known for Soul Eater and Fire Force. He got his start assisting Rando Ayamine on GetBackers, which gave him solid grounding in the industry before launching his own work. Beyond manga, he's done character design work for Bravely Default and Bravely Second, and created artwork for the TCG Lord of Vermilion.
His brother Akira is also a manga artist who worked as an illustrator on Samurai Eight.
After wrapping up Fire Force, Ookubo publicly named Kei Urana as his successor in the industry.
