Shouko Kirishima is Yuuji Sakamoto's childhood friend and the top student in her year, serving as class representative. She comes across as soft-spoken at first, but she's actually sharp-witted and commanding—you'll notice her dialogue always starts with ellipses. Elegant and popular in that classic "perfect girl" way, she's surprisingly single, which led people to assume she was uninterested in guys. The real reason? She's been completely obsessed with Yuuji since they were kids.
Her possessiveness over him is. intense. She'll poke out his eyes if she catches him looking at other girls' underwear, chains him up when they're together, uses a hand-held taser for "unfaithfulness," and once even tried to file a marriage certificate (foiled in the anime by their age). It's kind of played for laughs, but there's genuine trust beneath it all—she believes pretty much whatever Yuuji tells her, no matter how many times he's lied. She's also a long-term planner to an extreme; she's already named her future kids (Shoyu for a girl, Kosho for a boy).
Terrible with technology, though. She'll break any gadget that comes her way. Despite being in Class A, she basically lives around Yuuji's Class F friend group just to be near him. Her Shoukanjuu takes the form of a samurai in full armor wielding a Japanese longsword—which, during one ESB incident, morphs into an adult version of herself in just an apron and lingerie.
