Chaka, known as "the Jackal," is one of Arabasta's two head guards serving under Igaram, alongside Pell. He takes over as captain of the royal guard when Igaram's away. He ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Jackal—a Zoan fruit that lets him shapeshift into a full jackal or a human-jackal hybrid form.
You'll usually find Chaka paired with Pell, but when Crocodile made his move against the kingdom, Chaka broke ranks to confront him directly. The fight was personal—Crocodile's ruthlessness infuriated him, and he fought with the dual purpose of protecting Vivi and Kohza while buying them time to stop the conflict. Despite his conviction, he got thoroughly overpowered. He did survive though, and later showed up to rally the royal guard and call off the fighting. He was also present at Pell's grave afterward.
His most recent appearance came when the Straw Hats got their bounties after the CP9 arc. He seemed genuinely taken aback seeing Robin among the crew—which fans often note makes sense given everything that went down in Arabasta.
