Harutoki's main claim to fame in the series is giving Chad that parakeet—the one housing Yūichi Shibata's soul. He's a pretty minor character overall, but fans remember him mostly for that detail. Chad actually saved him at one point from a massive steel beam, which is how they connected in the first place. Later on, he shows up again hanging around with his buddy Shigeo and Chad, heading out for food when they all get ambushed by Bulbous G out of nowhere.
